How to Make Your Own Fabric Softener

Instead of using store-bought fabric softeners, you should learn how to make your own softener for fabric at home. In this way, you will avoid exposure to the chemicals present in store-bought fabric softeners and also save money as they tend to be expensive. The best thing about this natural softener is the unique aroma it leaves on clothes. You will love it!

For the recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

150 ml of hot water

10 grams of baking soda

800 ml of apple cider vinegar

20 drops of your favorite essential oil

A 3.5 liter plastic container

Pour the water in the plastic container (make sure the container is not small, but a large one) and add the apple cider vinegar and baking soda. When the bubles from the chemical reaction go away, transfer the mixture into an empty, previously cleaned, bottle of fabric softener and then add the essential oil you chose. At the end, close the bottle, shake it well, and keep it in a dark and cool area.

This homemade fabric softener can be used same as the commerical one.
