2-Ingredient Homemade Sauerkraut Recipe That Fights fat and Inflammation

5 pounds of shredded cabbage

2 tablespoons of salt

1 tablespoon of  caraway seeds


Mix cabbage, salt and the seed in a large bowl and leave it for 10 minutes. Put the mixture into a glass food container, then top with a quartered onion to fit inside the container. Cover the container with a paper towel and secure with a rubber band.  Leave it in a cool place overnight and check if it is submerged in liquid every other day, for two weeks. Skim off scum on the surface, if any. Let it stand for at least 4 weeks, then store in airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 6 months.
